Patricia and Pyramid Lakes

An easy 10 minute drive above Jasper townsite brings you to this great recreational spot. Enjoy the two delightful lakes on the "Pyramid Bench". A 5 kilometre trail loops along Cottonwood sloughs and a small creek before swinging back around. Allow 1.5 hours. Moose, elk, waterfowl (including loons) and beavers are often seen while walking. Birdwatchers can be on the lookout for hummingbirds, warblers, yellowthroats, loons and thrushers. From the shores of Patricia Lake, admire the colors of red-quartzed sandstone in Pyramid Mountain (9,000 ft). Stroll over to the island on Pyramid Lake.

Downhill Riding
For a lovely and easy bike riding experience, rent a bike at one of the bike shops in Jasper. Hire a taxi to drive you and your bikes up to Pyramid Lake. It is a lovely downhill ride back to Jasper or you may want to explore the many trails that will also lead you back to the townsite.
